Apostle Clarence B Richardson

Apostle Clarence B. Richardson was born in Smithfield, NC. He is the eighth of eleven children born to the late Reverend Garfield Richardson and Mother Lillie Richardson. He received his primary and secondary education in the public schools of North Carolina. He has a Bachelor’s degree from Luther Rice College.

During the early years of his life, he was a member of Giles Chapel Free Will Baptist Church in Pine Level, NC. Later he joined Mt. Zion Bible Church of God in Princeton, NC. He preached his first sermon in July 1962 at Mt. Zion Bible Church of God under the leadership of the Late Bishop O. W. Winston. Bishop Richardson was a member of the Mighty Spiritual Lights of Alexandria, VA from 1965 until 1972. He traveled and ministered the gospel in song throughout the East Coast.

In 1971, Apostle Richardson was installed as pastor of the Little Rock Church in Washington, DC. At that time, the membership was very small. There have been many accomplishments. The church was located at 1717 North Capital Street, NE. The church grew and an edifice was purchased at 632 E. Street, NE in 1973.

In 1974, Apostle Richardson became the pastor of Mt. Zion Bible Church of God, Princeton, NC. He had the opportunity to minister to many of his former classmates and friends. The congregation consisted of deacons, mothers, sisters and brothers who helped him in his early Christian life. He resigned from Mt. Zion in 1980.

God gave Apostle Richardson a vision to go to the city of Wilson, NC and begin a church. In 1980, he formed the Wilson Revival Center. He was ordained as a Bishop of the First Pentecostal Church of Deliverance, Inc. by the late Bishop R. L. Garner and Bishop O. T. Johnson. In 1997, Little Rock was again relocated to its present location at 2214 Naylor Road, SE.

He is currently Chief Apostle of the Church of Deliverance, Inc. He has been pastor of Little Rock Church for over 40 years.

Apostle Richardson is married to Joyce Bryant Richardson. They have three sons, Michael, Carlton and Lawrence; two daughter-in-laws, Marilyn and Kimberlie. They are also the grandparents of Chante’, Bryan, Je’Varis, Yardell, Justin, Lawrence Jr., Shanikka, Cee-Jay, Malachi, and Isaiah.
